I've been LOVING smoothie bowls lately. They're such a great way to cool down and refuel after a tough workout, and they're just so fun! I love decorating them with all of my favorite toppings, including the AMAZING new super butters! They contain chia seeds and flax seeds which make them extra super and perfect for this superfood smoothie bowl. I also included pitaya because it's gorgeous and pink, but also because it has tons of antioxidants and vitamin C. I usually add protein powder and/or collagen peptides for a little extra protein too!
Feel free to top these with whatever fruit and toppings you like. I love adding goji berries for more superfood benefits and texture, as well as crunchy granola. Have fun with it! The only mandatory part is the drizzle of Super Butter ;)
Ingredients:
1 frozen pitaya or acai packet
1 small banana or 1/2 of a large frozen banana, previously sliced and frozen
3/4 cup frozen strawberries
1 tablespoon Wild Friends Almond Cashew Super Butter
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 scoop collagen or vanilla protein powder (optional)
For toppings:
Wild Friends Peanut Cashew Super Butter
sliced strawberries
sliced bananas
blueberries
raspberries
goji berries
chia seeds
granola
shredded coconut
Directions:
In a high powered blender, combine the frozen pitaya packet, banana, strawberries, Almond Cashew Super Butter, almond milk, and collagen/protein powder if using. Blend until completely combined and creamy. You may need to stir it around a few times to help it along since it will be very thick! Pour into a bowl and top with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, goji berries, chia seeds, granola, shredded coconut, and a generous drizzle of Peanut Cashew Super Butter!
