I love making protein french toast after my workouts. I wanted to change it up this week and make my french toast a little more fun by making french toast and fruit skewers with a peanut butter yogurt dip.
This also makes a great party and brunch food for the weekends. The french toast and fruit can be eaten right off the skewers or can be picked off and dipped into the peanut butter yogurt mix! Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
(Makes 5-6 skewers)
• 3 slices sourdough bread
• 1 egg
• 2 egg whites
• 2 tbsp cinnamon protein powder
• dash of cinnamon
• 6 tbsp almond milk
• skewers
• 1/3 cup plain greek yogurt
• 1 tbsp creamy Wild Friends PB
• 1 tbsp honey
• bananas
• blackberries
• strawberries
Directions:
Crack egg and egg whites into bowl and whisk. Add almond milk, protein powder, cinnamon, and
combine. Soak slices of bread in egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
Heat up pan with coconut oil. Place coated bread slices onto pan and cook until golden brown on both
sides. Remove from pan and let slices cool, then cut into bite-size pieces.
Stack bread pieces on skewers with strawberries, blackberries, and banana slices. After assembling, mix
greek yogurt, peanut butter, and honey together. Dip the skewers into the peanut butter yogurt mixture and
Enjoy :)
